I hope Ted Jaracz's head will be the first He breaks.
When Jaracz turns up at heaven's gate, Peter will have locked the door and turned out the lights, pretending no-one is in!

so jesus regularly attended meetings for worship (they don't specify which kingdom hall) and may have been thinking about psalm 40:6-8 (in the new world translation i suppose).
7 jesus showed his keen interest in spiritual things by regularly attending meetings for.
worship.
I hope Ted Jaracz's head will be the first He breaks.

i have noticed that quite a few people here swear and use profanity.
an elder once told me this is quite common in the congregations he has been in.
i was raised in so never allowed to swear and never got into the habit.
I have noticed that quite a few people here swear and use profanity. An elder once told me this is quite common in the congregations he has been in. I was raised in so never allowed to swear and never got into the habit. Is it common to use bad language as a JW or is it a habit that develops on leaving?

hi everyone ,.
there are many new folk joining here everyday , and i thought it may be interesting and fun to just see how many people have left the congregation that you have attended in the past 5 years .
i dont mean of course people who are active jw's moving to another cong , but people that have left the wt religion , faded , da'd or df'd .. so , i will start off with my own cong .there have been 9 leave , 8 completely gone , myself hardly ever there and ' inactive ' .. leo999.
My congregation is down from 130 to just over 50. Many have died or moved away. However 4 elders have left, 2 D/Fed and 2 faded.

comments you will not hear at the 05-23-10 wt study (march 15, 2010, pages 19-23)(righteous ones).
review comments will be in red or headed by comments.
wt material from today's wt will be in black.
A very good review Blondie. One of the Elders at my cong simply did not understand the article at all. Which is a pity as he was conducting the WT study!

so this week has been co visit.
i'll try to do a review without too much of me going off on a tangent to get the overview out and then let you all comment as you see fit.. theme of the week based on matt.
24 (sign of jesus presence and the end of the system of things).. co stressed once again (he as said this in every talk this week) that we are approaching 100 years of jesus reign.

w075/1p.31QuestionsFromReaders***On the other hand, as time has gone by, some Christians baptized after 1935 have had witness borne to them that they have the heavenly hope. (Romans 8:16, 17) Thus, it appears that we cannot set a specific date for when the calling of Christians to the heavenly hope ends.
I thought the above paragraph, three years ago now, swept away ANY SIGNIFICANCE to the date 1935. So why is this CO introducing it into the generation fiasco?

ok - i couldn't keep away from this board - but i lasted longer than a week (outlaw!).
here i am sitting in the sun on a beautiful sunday afternoon drinking beer catching up with the posts on this board.
i just had to write a message to anyone still attending meetings, despite knowing that they are a forum to propagate lies and deceit.
Some of those in the photo I do not recognise; any chance of an index?

for a few years now i have been pretending to believe something that i no longer do.
i feel like an actor honing his skills in order to survive in a dictatorship where no dissent is allowed.. so far i have not had to face any real ethical dilemmas that would require me to end the charade: letting a loved one die because of blood or shunning a close df'd family member.. i am slowly helping my immediate family to see the things i am learning, but in the meantime i cannot help but feel bad about the whole charade.
it feels deceptive, and (assuming deception is wrong) is therefore wrong, but i also see it as accomplishing the best good in the medium/long term.. what do you think?
Letter read at KH recently said there are 165 Special Pioneers in Great Britain; of these 102 are old and infirm and 75 of them have served for over 40 years. I wonder how many of them are living a lie like so many of us. Too old to leave having no pension, skills, home, family, other than JW's?

i was recently informed (on jwn) that plans to publish a new creation book were well ahead.
is this true?
if so, can anyone clarify this for me?.
The old Creation v Evolution book was printed in 1985. It has been re-released as a small paper back. My first attempt at including a picture so we will have to see if it works.

Doesn't seem to work. I clicked on the tree and pasted the above link into the box but cannot see the image. Help anyone please.
i've always been told that i have a very good personality, that i'm humorous, etc.. one elder called me over and said that i was "smiling too much".
the other elders talked to the elder who counseled me and he came back to say that i should be like i was .
.
I was counselled for giving a sister a lift in my car with no-one else there. I was about 50 at the time and she was in her 70's.
